Why Buy A Convertible Crib?

Convertible baby cribs have some obvious drawbacks the first being that they are more expensive than a standard crib. This is because they are more complex and that's the second problem. They are usually more difficult to put together.

But the advantages outweigh the disadvantages for most people. Yes they are more expensive when you consider the initial outlay but they will provide both a crib and a bed for your child for several years so you won't have to buy a separate bed for your baby as he or she outgrows their standard crib.

A typical 4-in1 convertible crib will convert from a crib to a toddler bed to a daybed to a full-sized bed so your child will get plenty of use out of it. This flexibility does, of course, mean that they can be somewhat fiddly to put together but you only need to convert the crib into something else a few times in its lifespan. Just make sure that you keep the instructions in a safe place for when you need them and take your time when doing the conversion.

Of course any crib you buy, whatever the type, should be fully compliant with current safety regulations but because they're designed to be in use for several years it is best to choose a convertible crib that is sturdy and robust and not skimp on the quality. After all, that sweet little baby will grow into a bouncing five year old who will probably enjoy jumping up and down on their bed as much as possible.
